What people are saying about Community of Madrid

Initially I felt it was a little too intimate: it’s a tiered space with small stage for just 55 people. I thought it would lack authenticity- I’m sure if I was watching this in a Spanish village on a balmy evening sipping vino and eating tapas it would be a whole different experience, but on a very wet, miserable and dark night the friendly welcoming staff and ‘entertainers’ pulled the rabbit out of the hat. The four dancers/musicians were truly immersed into authentic Spanish music and dance. Their respect for their heritage, their art and each other truly shone and provided an authentic and moving experience. High energy, engaging and loud! Those tap shoes resonate! Perhaps not for small children who are sensitive to noise. The singer and dancers deserve huge applaud but the star for me was the Spanish Guitarist. The only minus was nothing to do with the quality of the show but the pricing. I had a 9 year old with my and was disappointed there wasn’t a ‘youth’ price.

Our tour guide was Alex and he was amazing. He was knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of great information. He was very energetic and kept us interested. The palace is beautiful and a spectacular structure. You’ll enjoy the visit.
