What an interesting and amazing monument

We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour. Our guide had diagrams to show how the building had been extended over the years. She was able to show us where we were inside the building. She was also very adept at avoiding large groups. ( we were a family group of 3 ) Her in-depth knowledge meant that we learnt much more than if we had been on our own.

Perfect tour, perfect guide

Sadly I cannot remember the young lady's name (it was May 12th at 10am). There were only 4 people in our tour. Our guide did need to go and buy entrance tickets for us all so I am not sure if this saved us time or not, but we did not seem to wait any length of time. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the mosque-cathedral and explained all the history in simple language. It was very easy to understand and brought the place to life. Wonderful and I have already recommended this to some friends who are planning a trip.

Well structured and a knowledgable guide

We booked the 1 hour tour through the mezquita in English, which was the best thing to do because it was only the guide, my wife and me. Our guide was a nice young lady, her presentation was well prepared and well structured. We could understand her very well (which is more than we can say about other Spanish English-speaking guides) and she could answer all of our questions (which we only had few of because she explained everything as profoundly as we needed it + the place is just fascinating). You could spend a whole day there as well but we only had one day for Cordoba so we chose the short version. The only thing I have to remark is: the price shown on GetYourGuide is only for the guide itself. The tickets to the mezquita have to be paid when you meet up with your guide.
