Full description

Discover mysterious Albania on a guided day trip from Corfu. Cross to the port city of Saranda to enjoy a 20-kilometer guided bus tour of the southern coast and its virgin shores and islands. Pass through small villages and gaze in awe at the endless fertile plains that lead to a great lake. Arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint, where the ancient Greek city of Buthrotum disappeared under layers of silt and vegetation until archaeologists uncovered some of the finest remains in the Mediterranean. Tour the Venetian tower and see the remains of the theater and Temple of Asclepius. Continue to the ruins of the ancient gymnasium and Roman Baths and admire a priceless mosaic floor in the Roman Baptistery. Travel back in time as you explore the Cyclopean walls and get panoramic views of the lake and plains from the top of the hill. Return to Saranda for lunch, and then take a walking tour before sailing back to Corfu.

Great trip. Local guide in Albania was very informative and it was interesting to see another country we might not have otherwise thought of visiting. The only negative for us was on return to Corfu our transfer back to our hotel had to wait for another day trip. This ended up being 40 mins which after a long day was slightly annoying. Other than this though everything was great.

Amazing value! The tour was really well organised meaning we could just relax and enjoy the day. The sights you get to see are brilliant and our guide was excellent. Would definitely recommend a sun hat if you're not used to the heat as you're in thr sun a lot.

Unfortunately, the organizer in the port of Corfu did not put any signs where you have to queue. We were lucky and lined up and shortly before passport control a woman asked us which tour operator we were traveling with. She then handed us tickets for the ship. I think that can be improved. Otherwise everything was great
