Full description
Set sail from Ajaccio or Porticcio on a full-day boat tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Scandola Nature Reserve and the Gulf of Porto. Experience one of the last Mediterranean enclaves to provide shelter for endemic flora and birdlife, and look for ospreys and peregrine falcons in their natural habitat. Created in 1975, the nature reserve is only accessible by sea and subject to strict protection. Stop in the coastal village of Girolata and get 2 hours to explore the secluded village and find a nice restaurant for lunch or enjoy a picnic on the beach. During the winter, the village becomes a virtual backwater with only about 15 residents. It was nearly abandoned at the end of the war, but tourism has restored its fortunes. Continue in the afternoon, and venture into the Calanche de Piana to discover an outstanding landscape of pink granite rocks shaped over the centuries by changes in the temperature, strong winds and sea spray. Explore the geological diversity of the rocks and originality of their locations that give a particular aspect to the area.

Must do. Indeed, the trip may seem long but we take a big slap at the sight of this nature! And the captain always has a touch of humor, the explanations are very interesting. And the icing on the cake we saw dolphins (I then realized a dd my dreams). A dream day that is really worth it.

Nice boat trip! Magnificent reserve. I just found it a shame that the mask is not mandatory on the whole boat! We were easily 150 on the boat, glued to 4 people per bench. Despite the fact that it was outside, everyone was talking and spending 10 hours with people without masks within a meter of them, it's almost shameful ...

Magnificent landscape and excellent narrator-navigator!

Wonderful day ! The very well maintained boat took us to discover magnificent landscapes. Our navigator-narrator was excellent and really explained all the decor to us with humor, telling us all the stories of his country that he loves with passion. We have a great time. Thanks to the whole team.
