Full description

Travel by air-conditioned bus to the west of Crete. Enjoy a cup of coffee or breakfast at the small village of Skaleta and then continue to Kissamos to board a boat and start your cruise. Admire a vast cave that was most likely an ancient shipyard. See sea turtles and dolphins playing in the water.

Disembark on the island of Gramvousa, also known as "Pirates' Island". Here, you can encounter over 100 bird and 400 plant species. Enjoy plenty of free time to swim at a gorgeous beach. Alternatively, feast from an (optional) lunch on board.

Continue your cruise to the lagoon of Balos and discover one of the loveliest sites in Greece. Get a breathtaking view of the lagoon, before the return journey to the meeting point.

Excursion very well accompanied and organized, no surprise the program is respected. There are a lot of journeys, especially by bus, but it was planned in the announcement. The islands are beautiful and it is possible to eat on the boat. Very nice experience and the setting is just beautiful. Pay attention to the price of the boat and the arrival on the island (16€ + 1€) which is not announced on the reservation but only by reading the comments.

The tour was nice in principle and it was also well organized, but the planned travel time was clearly exceeded. After a total of 17 1/2 hours we were back at the hotel - definitely plan on having a very long day here. The island of Gramvousa was fantastically beautiful, if you walked up the hill to the ruins, you have a wonderful view. Alternatively, or after the ruins, you can swim in the sea before the boat continues. Balos was a beautiful lagoon with partly pink sand and shallow warm water.

The excursion was really beautiful. The bus journey is less because it is a journey of almost 4 hours and it is not stated in advance that you are not allowed to use the toilet. After 2 hours a pee stop of 15 minutes is made and during that time you can also get something to eat. Some people got up at 5.15 am so you have to hold your pee for quite a while. I got on at 6.40 am so you really have to take that into account when you make this trip. I thought that was a really bad point. Also the driver was not friendly at all in the morning. He was fine later in the day. Tip! If there are two of you or more, it is cheaper to rent a car for 30 euros and drive yourself. Because the price of the excursion is without the boat ticket. That's 16 euros each.
