Full description

Explore Santorini by boat on this day trip from Crete. Take part in a guided bus tour of the island, walk through charming villages, and witness stunning views.

Your experience starts off from Crete on the luxurious high-speed catamaran "Champion Jet 2." On arrival at Thiras port, you'll board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus with your experienced guides who will provide information about the island and its history.

Your first stop is the unique village of Oia. Built on the northern part of the Caldera rim, Oia offers magnificent views of houses studded along the volcanic rock hillside overlooking both the Mediterranean and Aegean sea. Next, visit the island’s capital Fira, where you will have plenty of free time to explore the picturesque alleys, admire the incomparable Aegean architecture, shop, or simply enjoy a drink.

Then, you have the choice of spending more time in Fira, visiting the magnificent black beach of Perivolos, or taking a boat tour of the Caldera (subject to availability). Finally, you'll return to the port for the trip back to Crete.

The meeting point in the morning was not clear enough for your own arrival and does not correspond directly to the coordinates on the website. We had to look first ... The ferry trip and the bus tour on Santorini, on the other hand, were very well organized. The guide was in a great mood and Santorini itself is really awesome! Therefore, there is definitely a recommendation for the tour! Note: When checking in to the ferry, the 3G rule applied to passengers due to COVID!

The trip was very well organized from the port. Transfer to the port must be organized privately. You can get the tickets at the boat kiosk at the table on the side, there was a bit of chaos here as all the tour operators (TUI, etc.) also give the tickets at the table. Keep to the far right for GYG tickets;) Ferry transport was fine and both cities on Santorini were a dream! We recommend going to a bar with a view of the bay (the crater) and drinking an overpriced glass of wine. The atmosphere makes you forget the price. Our guide was excellent! A nice Belgian who spoke very good German and had charm!

Everything went great! The duration is not 13 hours as stated but went from 8.30 a.m. to around 7 p.m.! The trip with the catamaran took 2.5 hours each way, so you were only 5 hours in total. In addition, a total of about 1 hour on the bus, the actual stay was not really long, but it was still worth it. Due to the Corona period, Santorini was not overcrowded, which we found to be very pleasant.
