Our tour guid was awesome. We learned about Crete and Knossos on the bus with her speaking 3 languages! The pick up was prompt and dropped right outside the museum. Plenty of time in Heraklion and just the right amount of time for Knossos before we were too hot and tired. Relaxing drive back in the air conditioned coach with a few more little tid bits of info about the villages we passed through from our guide. Thank you! Had a great time.

This was my first ever GYG booked trip. The tour operator sent me a voucher with pick up information in good time and the coach arrived perfectly on time. Tip: look for the destination on the coach rather than the name of the operator as it’s easier to check if that’s the right one, they have your booking reference from the operator and name of your hotel pick up. The guide gave good recommendations for Heraklion - it was easy to spend a couple of hours in the museum and then follow the guide’s advice for a stroll to the Venetian Port. Time for all including lunch. Knossos in the afternoon was less busy but very hot. Going to the museum first helped to better understand the site. I’d definitely recommend as a great way to see the key parts of Heraklion and Knossos in a day. The guide also knew lots of mythology to share with us.

George was a great guide (it's more like a tour manager than guide role) - speaking in four(!) languages not counting Greek. The tour gave us ample time to walk around in Heraklion, visit an amazing Archaeological Museum and then brought us to the Knossos Palace where we paid additional 10 euros for a guided tour of the palace. Of course, you can do all of this on your own but it was convenient to do this tour for us as we did not rent a car while in Crete.
