Take a leisurely cruise along Tien River. After, pay a visit to a coconut candy mill, a family business, then be taken down the small canals by wooden sampans to soak up the pleasant atmosphere of the river region. Savor seasonal fruits, take a sip of honey tea and get a sense of Southern Vietnamese folk music through music performed by the locals. You will return to Ho Chi Minh City at approximately 7:00 PM.

After pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, drive to Tay Ninh to visit the Cao Dai Temple. This religious sect combines Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity in its philosophy. Experience the prayer session at noon and admire the colorful, mysterious and marvelous architecture.   After lunch, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground system used by the Vietnamese to fight the Americans during the America and Vietnam War. You can crawl through the very narrow tunnels, made completely by hand during the war. Then watch a short documentary film about the Cu Chi Tunnels, available in a number of foreign languages.   Gain more knowledge of Vietnamese history, traditions, and culture. You can taste boiled tapioca with hot pandanus tea, the local food eaten by Vietnamese soldiers during the war. At the end of the tour your will be dropped off back in Ho Chi Minh City.

Depart Ho Chi Minh City and travel by private vehicle to Tây Ninh Province. Visit the Cao Đài temples near the Black Virgin Mountain (Núi Bà Đen), and learn why the mountain is revered by the people of Vietnam.  Ride the cable car to the pagoda temple dedicated to the local Khmer deity, Bà Đen. Get breathtaking views of the surrounding fruit orchards, mango trees, and woodland flowers, and learn the ancient legends of the mountain, towering 3,000 feet above rice fields and jungle. Take an optional hike further up the mountain to discover two more temples, if you desire. Then, visit the amazing Củ Chi tunnels, with a break for lunch on the way to the subterranean city that served as the operations base of the Viet Cong for the Tết Offensive during the Vietnam War.
