Day 1: Arrival to Cusco Your experience will begin as you meet your guides, who will be waiting for you as you arrive to Cusco. From there you will be led to your hotel, before having a free day to acclimatize to the altitude and explore downtown. This day will serve for rest and acclimatization in the city. That evening you will spend the night at the Ayni Cusco Hotel or similar. Day 2: Chinchero, Maras, Moray Your second day will begin with pickup from your hotel before you head towards the colorful town of Chinchero. There you will find Inca walls and a small colonial church that holds plenty of history. Continuing your visit, you will go to the famous circular cultivation terraces of Moray. You will then descend towards to Maras Salt Mines, You'll visit more than 3,000 salt pools in an area where salt was used by the Incas for their consumption. You'll finish by heading towards Ollantaytambo Station to take a train to Aguas Calientes. That evening, you will stay in the Golden Sunrise Hotel (or similar). Day 3: Machu Picchu Day 3 will begin with you waking up very early to take a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu. Your guide will provide you with all the information on the site during a 2-hour guided tour during which you will learn about the historical sanctuary in all its splendor. You will later return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch, before taking a train back to Ollantaytambo, from where you will return to Cusco to be dropped off at your hotel. Day 4: Humantay Lake You will be picked up early from your hotel to travel to Mollepata, where you will have breakfast. You will then continue your journey to Soraypampa, your starting point for the walk. During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna that inhabit the area. You can observe some native birds of the area whilst enjoying the great views of the Andean landscape. Once you have arrived to the day's destination area, you can enjoy some snacks whilst delighting in the spectacular views of the Humantay Lagoon. You will later return to the city of Cusco to your accommodation at the Ayni Cusco Hotel or similar. Day 5: Visit to Rainbow Mountain You will be picked up early from your hotel to head to Cusipata. Once there you'll take breakfast before continuing to the starting point of your trek. Once trekking you will observe the beautiful landscapes, alpacas, llamas, and Vicunas. You'll soon arrive to Rainbow Mountain, where you can explore the area and take the time to get good pictures of the beautiful blanket of colors. You will later return to Cusipata for lunch, before traveling back to Cusco. Day 6: Transfer to the Airport On your final day you will have the morning free so you can relax and visit the city. Later, and according to your flight schedule, your guide will take you to the airport for your departure.

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Inca Museum and Koricancha Start your tour with shuttle service from the airport or bus station to your hotel. The rest of the morning will be reserved for resting to adapt to the altitude, approximately 3400 meters (11,000 feet). In the afternoon, visit the Inca Museum, home of thousands of years of Andean culture. Continuing with the tour, head to the temple of Koricancha, the famous Sun Temple of Qosqo. Day 2: Saqsayhuaman, Tambomachay, and the Temple of the Moon – Transfer to Aguas Calientes   Begin your day with the journey to Saqsayhuaman. This Inca architecture, with its magnificent qualities and colossal stones, is considered one of the most exceptional constructions on the face of the Earth. From here, continue to the Temple of the Moon, a place for spiritual connection, and encounter the feminine energy of the Moon Goddess. In the afternoon, travel by car to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo for transfer to the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes). You will have the option to visit and enjoy the hot springs. Day 3: Machu Picchu Wake up very early for breakfast and ascend to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu to appreciate the sunrise in this magical place, believed to have been a sanctuary and energetic center. Today, Machu Picchu is recognized by UNESCO as one of the seven wonders of the world and as a World Heritage site. Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Moray-Salt Mines In the morning, return to the "living" Inca town of Ollantaytambo by train. Visit Ollantaytambo before continuing into Moray, an ancient construction designed for agricultural investigations and studies of different crops in a range of altitudes. Then, head to the salt mines of Maras, about 2 miles away. This village is known as a former salt-producing center that is thought to date back to pre-Inca times. There are over 3000 salt pools all carved into the mountainside, filled daily by a little stream of water. Day 5: Chinchero (Textile Interpretation Center) and City Walking Tour Chinchero, the rainbow village, is home of the ruins of the royal palace of the Túpac Inca Yupanqui, a picturesque community located on a high plateau overlooking the many snowcapped peaks of the Cusco region. After your visit to this area, return to Cusco, where you will have free time for lunch, and then start with your City Walking Tour around the most important places in Cusco.   Day 6: Free Day – Fly to Lima Enjoy a free morning to relax or do any activity and, according to your flight details, you will be transferred to the airport by the local partner for your departure to Lima.

Following a short break and lunch, begin a rafting trip for 2 hours, encountering class III and IV rapids while always accompanied by a kayaking guide. Day 4: Santa Maria, Santa Teresa (Trekking) Start the morning with a typical breakfast while surrounded by nature before departing for a trek. You'll walk along the banks of the river before climbing for 30 minutes, eventually meeting up with the original Inca Trail. On your way, see small coffee plantations, fruit trees, and an abundance of flora and fauna from birds to orchids. Descend for about 2.5 hours before arriving at the village of Qellomayo for lunch. After a rest, continue hiking for 3 hours, traversing farms, waterfalls, and rivers until arriving at the Cocalmayo (Santa Teresa) Hot Springs. Once there, break for lunch before catching the short train through the final stretch to the town of Aguas Calientes below the mountain of Machu Picchu. That evening, stay in one of the hotels in town. Day 6: Machu Picchu and Cusco After breakfast, take one of the first buses up the mountain to Machu Picchu (entry included). Machu Picchu is at its finest at dawn, and there will be a guided tour around the citadel to explain some of its history and to visit its most important features. Day 7: Departure On your final day, enjoy a free morning to relax before being transferred to the airport in the afternoon.

Percy, our guide, took wonderful care of us. We did not have to worry about anything. We stayed at the Monasterio de San Pedro which was very nice and comfortable. They are very helpful.
