    Your pickup will be from your hotel in Cusco at 8:10AM, at which point you will travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will begin by visiting the impressive Pisac, which is known as the Inca astronomical observatory. Following that you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, where you can enjoy typical Peruvian dishes. Your second point will be the fortress of Ollantaytambo, where you will observe the Temple of the Sun and its impressive monoliths. You'll then continue to the archaeological park of Chinchero, which is an important agrigola site. Whilst at Chinchero you can observe stairs, Inca walls, and the platforms where the locals used to post their llamas and alpacas. You can also observe Andean women who still wear Inca costumes, before you return to Cusco at approximately 7:30PM. Your tour will eventually end near the main square of Cusco.

    Your city tour of Cusco begins from the Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. The temple was built by orders of the Inca Pachacutec (1438–1572), and following the arrival of the Spaniards, it became the base of the convent of Santo Domingo. You then travel to Sacsayhuaman, one of the most emblematic places of the Inca Empire. It is a structure made of huge carved stones, approximately 9 meters high and weighing at least 100 tons. These stones are arranged in an organized way and in a perfect position to form three platforms measuring 390 meters long.     Experience a religious ceremony to the Sun, one of the most venerated godheads of the Inca Empire. Discover The Inti Raymi Festival in the city of Cusco that takes place on June 24th.

    Start with a pickup from your accommodation and a transfer to Koricancha. The ceremony begins in front of the Qorikancha temple, which is located on Av. El Sol.

    Stand and appreciate the ceremony with your guide, which will take approximately one hour. Enjoy typical music that opens the festival. Brace for silence in the Inca court as many nobles enter.

    Take a short walk to the Plaza de Armas to continue with the ceremony, lasting approximately 45 minutes. Appreciate the standing ceremony from a strategic point in the Plaza de Armas.

    Day 1: Cusco to Puno You will be picked up from your hotel at 6:30 AM before heading to the tourist bus station for Puno. This was a "bucket list" trip for us and it was amazing! Our personal guide, Alex, just made the trip extraordinary - he was super informative on all facts / history of Machu Picchu and took such perfect care of us, from the hotel pickup to getting us to Ollentaytambo in the Sacred Valley, to catching the INCREDIBLE luxury first class train ride to Aguas Calientes along the rushing Urubamba River, to taking the bus up the VERY steep, winding road to Machu Picchu, to touring the site for over 2 hours (very few tourists re/ COVID so NOW is the time to go of you want to have MP all to yourself!), then having the most delicious lunch next door at the luxury Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, then back down the mountain to the awaiting train and from Ollentaytambo back to Cusco with a private vehicle / safe driver. The guide(His name was Michael) was great. He gave enough information to learn the places we visited and was gentle. The tour made me develop the understanding of things regarding the city and that of history.

We had a really good time there, Roland our guide knows a lot about this place and its history ! Waqra Pukara is an amazing site, very beautiful and full of knowledge. I would definitely recommend to do it !
