The day before our tour, the local tour operator contacted us to let us know that as a result of a large number of tour participants, our tour of JPII’s boyhood home is canceled. The local tour operator made accommodations for other sites. We wish we would have had much more notice of this cancellation. Otherwise, we might have been able to book another day. Unfortunately, this was our only day available for this tour. This entire booking only provides transportation. No guide at any site is included. Although our driver was safe, engaging, and courteous, at one point we felt like we had been abandoned after lunch. We were not in our home country. We do not speak the local language. Our van was not where it was when we left it. The driver went to the other side of the restaurant for petrol. He did not say he was doing so. For a couple minutes, we were quite worried about how to get to our hotel which was over two hours away.

A valuable experience for Catholics

First, I would like to say to those who are not interested in religion. Yasnagra Monastery is an important heartland for the Polish. It is not a tourist spot, so it is not a recommended place for everyone. If you don't know and want to go sightseeing, there's nothing good for other pilgrims or for the tour participants themselves. As a personal experience, our tour has been a much better experience than I imagined and I am very grateful. Although we did not fully understand our destination, we were Catholics and were guided by the Father, which made me feel a little more about the Polish pilgrimage. I guess I didn't know what to do if I went to his place by himself. I am really grateful that I was guided by the Father, not just a guide. My priest said that any religion would be welcome, so if you want to experience something important about the Polish, please take a tour. The driver's young man was fluent in English and told me to ask anything, but he did not give me ma
