Full description

Spend a day in the natural habitat of fascinating wildlife creatures at Litchfield National Park. After being picked up from your accommodation, ride to the famous Adelaide River. There, you'll board your private boat and cruise up the river. Feed the crocodiles from the boat that teem in the water and see an abundance of wildlife all around you. You may even see a crocodile launching itself out of the water with the power of its tail. At the famous Litchfield National Park, you'll visit three waterfalls – the Wangi, Florence and Buley rock holes – and get the opportunity to swim in all three. Lunch is prepared in the park by your guide – a big bush picnic with an array of wraps, cold meats, bread, salad and fruit. Snacks are also included along the way if you're ever feeling peckish. Local and knowledgeable guides will give you thorough commentary throughout the day and stop for lots of photo opportunities. Marvel at the magnetic and cathedral termite mounds, and take time to visit the butterfly farm. Return to your accommodation in Darwin, or on Sundays and Thursdays, at the famous Mindil Beach Markets.

Will post on trip advisor also I’ve been on tours around Darwin before but this one was above and beyond. Punctual pick up, great lunch, amazing sites! Will was the cherry on top, the amount of knowledge in that guys head is unreal! Anything we saw he had ample knowledge about, he even had a story to back it up! He was an interesting character, would spin a yarn while we commutes from place to place which made the time fly by! If it’s your first, second or third time to Darwin, this is the tour you NEED to go on!

Excellent day. Will, our guide was knowledgeable about the area and had some great stories to tell. First stop was the jumping crocodiles tour of Adelaide River, where the fog was thick, but once it cleared the crocodiles became more active. Got some great photos of jumping crocodiles. Stopped on the side of the road near an enormous cathedral termite mound and took a few photos. Next stop was the Wangi falls. Really great place for a swim. Make sure you grab a noodle as there are deep water areas. We lunched here. Next stop Florence falls where you could choose between 500+ steps down to a plunge pool and then back up again or a couple of rocky plunge pools just a short walk from the car park. Be careful here, as the pools are rocky and it can be slippery getting out. Last of the swimming holes was the Buley rockhole. Be careful here too as the rocks can get very slippery when wet. Stopped at the Banyan Tree caravan park to buy an ice cream or beer. Highly Reccommend.
