Full description

Travel deep into the National Park stopping off at some of the most scenic waterfalls in the region on this one-day Doi Inthanon hiking tour. Experience a gentle 4km hike along a nature trail and learn about the flora and fauna along the way and enjoy the highest point in Thailand. The tour begins with a visit to the summit of Doi Inthanon – the highest spot in Thailand and an area rich in biodiversity and unique flora and fauna. Walk along a short hiking trail on the summit before heading to the start of the main hike. A local guide will take you through a pine restoration area, deep into a shady, forested valley and into farmland before reaching the Karen hill tribe village, which was founded 150 years ago. As you walk along the trail, you may spot snakes, lizards, and if you’re very lucky one of the resident gibbons. Upon reaching the village you will enjoy a local lunch and try a free coffee that is grown in the region. One final waterfall awaits on the way back to the city, beautiful all year round, and caps off a fun sightseeing day.

Good trip to see the Peak and then with a short walk near there. Was great to see the temples on the pagoda as well and then the lunch in the small village was nice. The final hike through the forest was my highlight as it is a beautiful walk!

Unforgetable experience. The guide, photographer and driver very nice, and attentive. Pick up at the hotel and return to it. We did another excursion where the pick up and drop off point was in the center of the city. A burden when there is traffic and you don't know how to move. Everything was very easy.

This was such a fun, authentic experience! 10/10 recommend! Our guides Lek & Sky made this trip very special for us! We were the only 2 people that day which made it a very private experience. Both were very accommodating, explained Thai culture/nature, answered all our questions and showed us little surprises along the way (have you ever blown bubbles from a soap plant?). They also took very professional pictures/videos of us and everything we saw that we later received via Google drive (essentially this was a full day photo session we didn’t even know we were getting). It was bird season so we saw a lot of different types on the mountain, next to beautiful butterflies and flowers I’ve only ever seen in flower shops, never in „real life“, water buffalos, cats, dogs, chickens… The trail hike was our favorite part. Due to repairs the „official“ trail was closed & we got to hike along the „locals‘ path“ guided by a sweet old villager. It did require a certain level of fitness though.
