    Full description
    The day begins with pickup from your accommodation in Porto or the Douro Valley region. Set off through the luscious landscapes then arrive at your first winery of the day. Enjoy a tasting session of premium local wines, including DOC and port. Next, hop onboard a beautiful yacht for a two hour cruise along the Douro River. Soak up the scenic views as you snack on some treats and taste more delicious wine. You’ll also learn about the history of the river and how it was used to transport wine to the cellars of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. After your boat ride, stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant with panoramic views over the river. When you’ve finished eating, head to a local vineyard for yet more DOC wine and port tasting. By the end of the tour you’ll have seen and tasted the very best that the Douro Valley has to offer.

    Our driver was great. One problem was that we were told they would pick us up at the hotel. However, when we were asked the address of the hotel, they said we were outside of a very small area they indicated they could pick us up. We ended up walking about 45 minutes to get to a location they would pick us up. The driver told us they would have picked us up at our hotel and that we were in fact inside the area they do pick ups.
