Bonn: 1.5-Hour River Cruise on the Rhine

1. Bonn: 1.5-Hour River Cruise on the Rhine

Marvel at some of Bonn’s most important — and beautiful – sights on the 1.5-hour cruise down the mighty Rhine River. Gaze upon the former West German capital’s governmental district, complete with the Hammerschmidt Villa, the former residence of the president of the Federal Republic of Germany.  Continue cruising down the Rhine and you’ll reach Königswinter, an idyllic wine village at the food of the mighty Drachenfels. From there, you’ll have a perfect view of the Drachenburg Castle — a 19th-century palace so directly pulled from a fairytale that it’s hard to believe that it’s real. On the way back, sample some German snacks and refreshments from the concession stand as you sail down the Rhine and return to the pier from which you departed.

Enchanting Rhine trip with the ship "Rheinprinzessin".

The ship "Rheinprinzessin" does not bear the name for nothing - it is chic, modern and elegant. The "Princess" is quick and maneuvers elegantly when docking. The crew wear smart sea uniforms, are polite and helpful. At Bort there is a large selection of food and drinks for young and old. The trip started at Alter Zoll/Bonn, went to Königswinter and back. It is a beautiful route, where you get to see a lot of sights, such as - picture of Bonn's old town, government district, Siebengebirge and much more. We were always told many interesting things about each sight via loudspeaker announcements.

A very fine experience. However, the Getyourguide tickets were not recognized by the scanner while boarding. Something to be fixed! Not sure if Getyourguide is the best site to order these tickets.

Unfortunately I couldn't participate because my girlfriend arrived in Bonn with a 5-hour train delay... I gave the tickets away to a young couple, who were very happy

We were perfectly assisted in redeeming the voucher. The person who helped us also spoke Dutch. Great experience, good explanation about the use of the tickets.

Super great and interesting boat trip, any time again and again. However, the ship staff is overwhelmed with the online tickets. Print it out better next time.
