This tour of the MedienHafen will show you that Dusseldorf is developing at a fiercely dynamic rate. As recently as some twenty years ago, the area was dominated primarily by warehouses. Today, the district is in a state of permanent change. Home to numerous media and advertising companies, the MedienHafen is one of the liveliest places in Dusseldorf. Part of the tour's attraction is also the various examples of outstanding architecture: the twisted buildings designed by the American Frank O. Gehry are as spectacular as the open design of the Landtag (state parliament) is symbolic, while the Rhine Tower is a cut above the rest.

The tour is worth it. Sets architectural priorities but also explains the historical background. The slowness of the walk through the Medienhafen repeatedly opens up new perspectives on supposedly familiar views. The walk through the harbor is more extensive than the boat trip because all areas can be reached on foot. The duration of 2 hours is just right.

Great tour with good impressions

The tour itself was great & very instructive and gave a good first impression of the development and the current situation in the Medienhafen. “Unfortunately” one of the participants was speaking purely in English, but she was also registered. This delayed the tour, we often had to wait and otherwise we would have seen (and possibly learned) a lot more. That was a shame. Otherwise a nice tour in a good time frame!

Very informative

The tour is very nice and really informative. When you walk by your own through MedienHafen you will never get what is hidden behind all these strange buildings. Dive into the story of Düsseldorf with this tour. Our guide was super friendly and helpful, answerinf uor all questions. Very recommended.
