Honestly I can't say enough good things about this tour. I took three tour from Dublin, one to Blarney Castle, Cork & Cobh, and another to the Cliffs of Moher & Galway that were both great, both this tour was my favorite. The island was beautiful, first we got to see the Howth Castle and hear local oral history about pirates and ancient Howth family lines, then we started into the woods where we explored a gorgeous rhododendron forest. I especially loved this as I've been living in the desert of Spain for several months now and it reminded me of my home in Asheville, NC. Next we climbed a peak to see Howth and the bay spread out below us in a spectacular display of glistening waters and rolling green hills. We continued our tour along the coast to a pebbled beach. It was a local spot, nothing you would find on google maps. Shane was wonderful company the whole tour, I enjoyed watching everyone we met great him excitedly by name almost as much as I enjoyed the company of his dog Loki.

I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour! The guide was so welcoming and had so much knowledge of the area. She shared the history of each site we came across (including really neat stories about the castle), and took us through beautiful trails up to the top of the island. And really really, the clam chowder is to die for! You will not regret the jaw-dropping views, excellent company and the best tasting food this little island has to offer!
