Immerse yourself in Irish culture as you walk through the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey (Built in 1042), and visit sites known only to locals (Hidden Howth). There will be plenty of time for photographs as you stroll through the fishing village, meeting the local colony of seals and wide variety of seabirds, before you ascend towards the cliffs. You can then take in the stunning views of Lambay Island and Ireland’s Eye, and be overwhelmed by the heady scent from the gorse on the heath. The Baily Lighthouse and Dublin Bay will then come into view as you ascend towards the summit, and from there, you will stroll down the old tramline and finish off in a local pub for a pint of beer. The views on this tour were AMAZING!!! And you cannot beat this tour guide! He is so engaging and tells the best stories. He even had a little video made at the end for us. If you love Cavaliers you will adore Missy, a true tour guide showing us around her home town. And don’t skip the pint at the end, we ordered lunch from there too (which was great!!)!

This was an excellent way to get to view the Village of Howth. The tour guide is very personable and knowledgeable which made the experience that much better. This was a hike so if you have any mobility issues, take that into consideration. My parents, who are in their 70's, came with us. They made it through, but they endorse that it was physically challenging for them at times.

The tour was great, well worth doing. Mark is a fabulous host, very entertaining. The tour goes at a leisurely pace so you do not need to be overly active to do it. The group I did it with were lovely and the lunch and pints at the end was very social. Nice to do a tour that is different to the usual touristy thing.
