Dubrovnik: City Walls Sunset Guided Tour

1. Dubrovnik: City Walls Sunset Guided Tour

Join a guided walking tour and traverse the famous city walls of Dubrovnik, a beautiful reminder of distant medieval times. Marvel at breathtaking views as you walk the 2-kilometer wall surrounding the town and see for yourself why the Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dubrovnik has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant. Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries. The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible. Find out why the city of Dubrovnik has inspired artists, writers and photographers as you explore the ancient Mediterranean city and wander along the elegant walls.

Our host was engaging and entertaining. Although he arrived late (owing to the busy traffic conditions ), the tour still went the full length and longer, and was not rushed . The stops were awesome and each of the highlights is well worth a visit. By traveling in a smaller group and van, you have more time to enjoy the sights, and it’s definitely less stressful than doing this all on your own.

Does what it promises: the light, the views, the horses, everything exactly as in the photos. Fantastically beautiful ride with a nice companion. There were only two of us with our guide and the horses made a super well-groomed impression and weren't as messed up as we all too often know from such offers. All in all, recommendable!

Desa our guide was knowledgeable, informative and interesting in the history of Dubrovnik. The walls at sunset were beautiful and more manageable in the dissipating heat of the evening. Strongly recommended.

Great to see spots of Dubrovnik you won't get to see by foot. Some stunning scenery and an exceptional driver in Simon. Appreciated Mario's correspondence in informing me of time change well in advance too.

Desa was so knowledgeable and personable she made the tour so engaging and informative! I highly recommend
