Join this late-night guided walking tour in English of Edinburgh to discover the city’s darkest and most frightening experience. Hear ghost stories of the city told above and below the ground of the Royal Mile. Walk through the famous wynds and closes of the Royal Mile, learning about the horrific living conditions of the population that once lived in these underground rooms. Listen to stories from your guide about murderers who roamed the streets and snatched bodies to sell to medical schools at the time. Then, hear stories of the scratching hauntress who leaves marks on her victims. Witness torture exhibits and learn how these devices were used in times gone by.

Very engaging and informative. I learned things about the city I wouldn't have imagined. Things you might just walk by on a daily basis and not think twice about. Definitely give a few goosebumps and chills. Torture aspect is not for the faint of heart, but adds a real sense of foreboding to the experience. Just sorry I didn't have the time to use this tour group to do some of the other paranormal type tours. I love that stuff, and this tour really fed into that. Great experienceđŸ«Ą

A must do when in Edinburgh - this activity was really entertaining - it was fun and my partner and i learnt so many historical facts. Our guide Jordan was extremely down to earth, friendly and funny - he certainly knew his stuff and a huge credit to him for making the experience what it was. The whole experience was well organised.

Our host/guide Ally was extreamly informative and knowledgeable throughout the tour. It was interactive in a sense that whilst exploring the vaults I believe even those who dont believe in ghosts will still come away feeling like they saw or felt something. Those who are interested in history or are just simply curious to see and know what is hidden beneath the streets of Edinburgh old town wont be disappointed. Personally, I wouldnt say it was a terror tour but rather spooky, it did leave my group a bit jumpy for the past few days. I highly recommend and would do it again myself.
