A bit chaotic at first until it started, but then very well done and presented in an entertaining way. Got a very good overview and lots of information that you could use later to visit the castle further. Therefore: Definitely bring more time than the estimated 1.5 hours. You can easily spend as much time in the castle again without getting bored for a second.

My husband and I are not particularly enthusiastic about history normally, but after this tour we wanted to know more! Scottish Ryan was such a great story teller, everyone was immersed and learnt a lot about Scottish history, We highly recommend this tour, especially if you can snag Ryan as your guide - he’s awesome

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! John was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. He was humorous and kept the group well engaged whilst he dove into the long history of the castle. John didn’t just focus on one period in history, he told us stories of the inhabitants of the Iron Age all the way through until the mid 1900s. We really enjoyed this tour!
