Full description

Depart Edinburgh and travel northwest, stopping for a coffee and refreshments at a small highland village. Traveling onwards, reach Glencoe, known to many as the location for the Massacre of the MacDonald clan in 1692. Take photos of this beautiful area whilst you learn about its turbulent past. After Glencoe, travel further north to Fort William. Stop for refreshments and perhaps a bite to eat before journeying down the Road to the Isles. Learn about the history of the area as you approach Mallaig, where you will spend time enjoying lunch and its sea views. From Mallaig, travel eastwards to the main attraction, Glenfinnan. Arrive right on time to see the Jacobite Steam Train (also known as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter Films) cross the bridge.

Not only will you enjoy this iconic view, but the site is also known as the setting for many Harry Potter scenes, including Loch Shiel. From Glenfinnan, travel southwards, stopping for refreshments at the small village of Pitlochry before returning to Edinburgh, where your tour ends.

You can find the Edinburgh departure and return point outside the green Ensign Ewart pub, at 521-523 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PE. There is currently a shortage of taxis and private hire cabs in Edinburgh, which may make it harder to get to the departure point if you're thinking of using a taxi. Allow for more time to reach the departure point in the morning and look into public transport options as a backup.

It was an amazing experience.The tour was so interesting as our awesome tour guide Sexy Paul was also giving us interesting facts about the history of Scotland and of tid bit’s about Harry Potter.The trip is a must to do when visiting Scotland as you can really appreciate the beautiful Highlands.Thank you so much,same goes to our lovely driver John

Paul E was an EXCEPTIONAL tour guide. he made my bestfriend becca & i laugh the entire duration of the 13 hour tour!! he was friendly, sweet and very informational. i HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a great time exploring basically the whole country of scotland ( with all of the miles we covered! ). i also felt very safe with the driver John H, he got us everywhere very safely and did an excellent job!!

The sightseeing were amazing but we only stopped next to the three sisters so you can’t take enough pictures of everything. The tour guide had A LOT to say, it was nice to know everything at first but since it was a long drive it was annoying. The rest stops were very short and we hadn’t enough time to eat.
