Full description

Head for the Highlands, whether in search of the Loch Ness Monster or just a scenic day trip from Edinburgh. After pickup, relax on the bus and listen to the guide’s entertaining commentary.

Visit Kilmahog for an introduction to the famous Highland Cows (depending on the time of year) and a cup of coffee. Next, travel up the road to Glencoe and enjoy a 10-minute photo stop in front of the unforgettable Highland views.

Have lunch in the Fort William area, where your guide can advise you on where to eat. If you're interested in the mysteries of the kilt, you can even get a ‘wee’ kilt introduction here. Then be whisked to Loch Ness itself.

Customize your experience at Loch Ness. Choose to visit the majestic Urquhart Castle, and hop on a boat in search of ‘Nessie’, as the locals call it. Or simply hang out on the pier and grab a coffee with gorgeous views.

On the way home, make a short snack stop in Pitlochry, a beautiful village in the heart of the country, before returning to Edinburgh.

It's been a couple of months since I went on this tour with the best guide Erin and bus driver John - and I wanted to get the review just right - because it was great. I am a solo traveler, never been on a guided tour before, so I really didn't know what to expect. While Erin tells you stories and plays you songs of her land, teaching you about what went down in history, all you have to do is look out the window and enjoy the view! I was amazed by the beauty of the Highlands - sometimes they felt unreal for how dreamy they were I actually can't wait to go back! Kudos to the Organizers, as they refunded the whole trip for a delay (which wasn't their fault) and didn't allow us to go on the cruise at Loch Ness - which we visited anyways! It was a really nice gesture, which shows you their reliability. Thanks again to Erin and John for making our trip fun and safe :) So yeah, don't think twice, book the tour and soak in all the beauty. There's plenty!

It was an amazing trip, we booked the boat cruise along with trip in advance. However, they let you decide during the trip as well. You can buy those directly from your guide. Remember to carry cash as it would make it easier for your guide to help you. The trip starts at 8am, try to be there 30 mins early , I also suggest getting some sandwiches and fruit drinks with you if you haven’t had breakfast. They will stop for lunch later on so don’t pack too much as you will get the chance to eat. Our guide for the trip was Paul Henderson, and honestly one of the best story tellers I have come across my whole life, he has so much knowledge about the history of Scotland and he will entertain you for your whole trip, it will not feel like a 12 hour of trip just bored looking out the window. If you get the chance and if he is in the mood, he will let you sit and talk to him in the front seat later on the trip, so do go say hi, he is a very great guide and a unique personality to come across.

This was a excellent, all-encompassing tour experience. Our tour guild Erin was exceptional; fun, knowledgeable and authentic. Between her historic knowledge, folklore tales and curated Scottish music, all those hours spent on the bus flew by. Additionally, the numerous stops along the way and the sheer scenic beauty all added to the terrific experience. I would highly recommend adding on the Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness cruise to the package though there was the option to all this tour when on the bus but using cash charge only. Truly a great way to spend a day in Scotland.
