Full description
Explore Scotland’s history on this unique tour. Start your day with a visit to Stirling Castle, home to the Scottish Royals until the early 17th century. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the castle itself or stroll around Old Stirling, the ancient capital of Scotland. On your way to Loch Lomond you’ll see the famous highland cows, and pass a stunning landscape of lochs and mountains, reaching Loch Lomond at lunchtime. After lunch by the "bonnie banks," you’ll have the choice of a boat trip on the Loch or a short nature walk to a superb viewpoint over Scotland’s largest lake. You’ll finish the day at Glengoyne Distillery, situated in a wooded valley in the southern Highlands. The distillery, which takes its name from ‘Glen Guin’ or Glen of the Wild Geese, has been producing high quality single malt for nearly 200 years. You will, of course, have the opportunity to tour this beautifully located distillery and sample the delicious 10-year-old product for yourself!

There were many last minute cancellations by others who had booked the tour, due to which we landed up only being 3 members (another couple and me). Our tour guide, Allen, was phenomenal! Despite being a small group, he was very interactive and enthusiastic, giving us trivia along the way. We even made pit stops to take pictures at some beautiful spots. Allen went an extra step to walk us around Loch Lomond, while sharing local tales and history. Scotland is so scenic and serene, you will fall in love with the place! I would highly recommend buying entry tickets to both the castle and the distillery as it's a worthy experience. - The lunch break is by the Loch Lomond, and the only restaurant there has super slow service which doesn't leave you much time to explore the Loch. I would recommend skipping the restaurant and picking something on-the-go from the cafes.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour on the 03.03.20 with my daughter. The tour guide/driver, Iain, was very entertaining, knowledgeable and accommodating. He probably even organised the beautiful sunny weather we experienced! The views of the Highlands were magnificent. (And Iain's playlist on the return journey was excellent!) Will definitely recommend this tour!

Nice tour, fantastic guide Iain, tells a lot about the history and culture of the region where we visit, very accessible during the breaks, due to bad weather (snow) we could not fully enjoy the tour, but guide Iain did his best to compensate it appropriately with another point of interest. The organization also offers a nice discount on the entrance fees to the sights.
