    • The Palace of Holyroodhouse is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week except July, August, and September when it is open 7 days. No alternative will be offered when the Palace is closed
    • It is also closed for Royal visits: 7 April 2023, 6 May 18-27 May 2023, and 29 June- 8 July '23
    • Multi-lingual tour handsets are available at Britannia and the Palace of Holyroodhouse and are included in the ticket price
    • An extra charge is made on-site for an optional language handset at Edinburgh Castle
    • All bus tours start from the north side of St Andrew Square, in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre
    • You can join a tour at any stop and hop on and off for the duration of your ticket

    The buses were very frequent and always on time. There was a great choice of bus routes taking you to all places of interest. The staff were very friendly and the tour guides did a great job pointing out places to view and giving you information with a few tales which were great to hear. Particular mention to bus drivers Stevie and Stan who cheered us up by wearing their Christmas jumpers. Highly recommend the 48 hr bus ticket. If you pick it up midday on the first day you can also use on the third day in the morning .
