Constructed in 1902, this is the largest museum in the region and houses 250,000 rare artifacts of all sizes. The ground floor contains the large heavy statues arranged in chronological order. Then take a tour of the upper floor to see the smaller statues, fossils, paintings, sarcophagi and ancient Egyptian maps. Be sure to visit the exclusive section dedicated to Tutankhamun to see all his treasures, which were discovered in his tomb in Luxor, including his golden mask.
