Full description
Your day will begin with a morning pick-up from your Bagan hotel or accommodation, after which you will be transferred to Salay. A picturesque town, Salay has long been known as a key religious center in Myanmar. During your half-day experience, you will spend time exploring Salay’s numerous monasteries such as Yoke Son Kyaung, a wooden monastery which dates back to the 19th century.

You can take the time to admire the monastery’s wealth of beautiful carvings, which depict typical court life of Salay’s rulers and scenes from the Indian Ramayana epic. Your tour will then continue your discovery of the town by taking a trip through the market and stopping to admire Salay’s many untouched colonial buildings. At the conclusion of your day, you will be transported back to your hotel in Bagan.
