8 Things To Do And See in Buenos Aires
A city boasting a fusion of South American and European flavors, Buenos Aires is known for being the birthplace of tango. What should you visit if you find yourself in the Argentinian capital?
1. Basilica del Santismo Sacramento
This lovely cathedral provides a sense of sanctuary from bustling daily Buenos Aires life - look out for its intricate stained glass windows.
2. Casa Rosada
The Pink House is the Argentinian presidential office. It has survived a military dictatorship and stands today as a symbol of Argentinian resilience.
3. Bombonera Stadium
La Bombonera is home turf of Argentina's biggest football team, Boca Juniors. Check out the tour of the stadium!
4. Museum of Latin American Art
A jagged, geometric exterior and works from a wide array of Latin American artists make this a must-visit for all art fans stopping by in the city.
This hip, bohemian neighborhood has cobbled streets and old world flair, and is also home to a large Jewish population - enjoy Buenos Aires' immigrant heritage.
"Buenos aires" is Spanish for "fair winds," so this popular activity does the city justice. Blue skies and Atlantic waters - what more could you want?
7. Wine Tasting
Argentina counts itself among the world's biggest wine producers. Get out of the city to some beautiful vineyards and sample it for yourself on home turf.
8. Cementerio de la Recoleta

Planning Your Visit
What's the weather like?
Argentina's the country closest to Antarctica, so you can expect it to get cold in the south, but Buenos Aires has a humid subtropical climate. So it's hot, but rain and hailstorms are to be expected.
How long should I stay?
Five days should be enough, but you should definitely incorporate it into a South American or Argentinian trip as a whole!

What people are saying about Buenos Aires
I had a tour that not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Not only was Pat super knowledgeable, but very personable. I was on the tour alone which sometimes can be a bit awkward with someone you don't know, BUT within 5 minutes I felt very comfortable and had the best day exploring El Tigre. I was discouraged by many to not take a tour and to do this on my own and I'm SO glad that I spent the money and did the tour! It was worth every penny!
The whole process went very smoothly..We loved the Tango lessons and the show was amazing..We were pleasantly surprised that dinner was delicious and the wine glasses were never empty..This is an experience not to be missed and it was a very good value
Gonzalo was my guide. He is amazing. Very knowledgeable he knows so much about the history of Bs Aires and Argentina, I never imagined that a fun bike ride would turn into a a great way to get to know the roots of this beautiful nation. A+++
