Pachacamac is a really worthwhile experience. It’s not far from Lima and a relatively easy means of being introduced to Peru’s pre Colonial Cultures. The Interpretation Centre is really well laid out and I learnt a lot. Jonathan, my guide, was very knowledgeable and meant that I was able to absorb a lot in a short space of time. The site itself is interesting too, but a guide would be needed to make the most of this. A bizarre, and interesting bonus, is the garden outside the Interpretation Centre, making you aware of the rich variety of plants grown and used in Peru then and now. The only issue is Lima traffic, which meant that we were back an hour later than planned. Not a reflection the tour company, just a fact of life here.

We had a great time on this tour! We were the only people in the group, so it ended up being a private tour in a car, super efficient! Our guide Jordan was a lot of fun, we learned a lot not only about the Pachacamac site but also about Lima and Peru in general. He speaks excellent English; he provided good explanations with a lot of energy, and also welcomed any questions we had. There was never a dull moment. A separate mention to our driver Jonathan - very smooth and safe driving, so we could focus on the tour rather than praying for our lives in Lima traffic! We were picked up at 9-15 and finished at about 12-45 (we asked to be dropped off at Larcomar). The car thankfully took us most of the way into the Pachacamac site (with several stops along the way) but there is also about 30 minutes of gentle uphill / downhill walking involved. Overall, we really enjoyed the tour! Thanks to KulTour Peru for the great experience we had!

My tour guide Jordan and "el conductor" Jorge we excellent. Jordan was very knowledgeable about Peruvian history. He spoke excellent English and we had a good time talking Spanglish through the tour. Panchacamac is amazing. The tourist center is very interesting and sets up the walk up El Templo del Sol perfectly. I highly recommend this tour as it is an easy trip to do in a half day.
