Lima: Pachacamac Ruins & Barranco Half-Day Guided Tour
- Small group
- Transportation included
- Duration: 3.5 hours
Pachacamac is a really worthwhile experience. It’s not far from Lima and a relatively easy means of being introduced to Peru’s pre Colonial Cultures. The Interpretation Centre is really well laid out and I learnt a lot. Jonathan, my guide, was very knowledgeable and meant that I was able to absorb a lot in a short space of time. The site itself is interesting too, but a guide would be needed to make the most of this. A bizarre, and interesting bonus, is the garden outside the Interpretation Centre, making you aware of the rich variety of plants grown and used in Peru then and now. The only issue is Lima traffic, which meant that we were back an hour later than planned. Not a reflection the tour company, just a fact of life here.
I was hesitant in going on this small group tour but we felt that we were in good hands and learned alot in a short amount of time. Traffic was horrible but we got to experience it first hand! Jose was a great driver.
We loved our guide, Jordan and our driver, Javier! Our guide was knowledgeable and a great teacher. He clearly loves Peru and did a wonderful job explaining Peru's history.
Juan Cesar from Condor travels was perfect on the job. Very knowledgeable and easily handled some of the deeper questions we had about the origins of the culture.
Jordan was a fantastic guide would highly recommend him as so informative and helpful a acacet to your company enjoy my day immensely Miriam Stretton
