What people are saying about Yangon

Our guide and driver arrived in plenty of time for our 8.00am departure. Tun (our guide) was the perfect host throughout the whole day and our driver (sorry .. can’t remember name) treated us like royalty and managed to drop us off in areas that would normally be reserved for such!! My wife travelled in shorts so after our first stop at the cemetery, Tun arranged for us to visit some local shops in Bago so she could by a longyi before visiting the first pagoda ... I even bought one myself a bit later from a local manufacturer we went to visit. Lunchtime (extra cost) was great as Tun joined us and it was good to share information about all of our families and lifestyles. The reclining Buddha and Buddha of four pillars were also great - we have many more photos than normal thanks to Tun being a willing photographer. All in all , excellent!

Really enjoyed this trip, started at a local street food market, then on to a typical noodle shop + quite a few others and finally the infamous 19th Street. My guide was Matthew - he was really lovely, his English was very good and he was interesting to talk to - I would recommend taking this tour. It was nice and relaxed, never felt rushed. In hindsight I would have had a late breakfast or brunch to leave more room for all the food you get to eat, I was stuffed by the end!

I think this is the only reasonably priced and comfortable way to visit Golden Rock in one day. The pick-up was perfectly on time. The guide provided comprehensive explanations. We arrived pretty late back to Yangon. However, this was the case as the guide offered us to see an additional monument, not foreseen in the programme.

Well worth the time and money. Good introduction into Myanmar food, which also includes influence from India and China. Very open and good local guide who is willing to talk about both the good side and improvements that should be made in Myanmar.
