Fuerteventura: Island Flavors Full-Day Tour

1. Fuerteventura: Island Flavors Full-Day Tour

Tour the island of Fuerteventura in an air-conditioned vehicle. Get off the beaten track and visit places unchanged and unspoiled over the time.  After you are picked up from your hotel, you’ll head to an aloe vera farm where you will learn about the properties of this miraculous plant, considered as the queen of medicinal plants.  Next you’ll admire the Entallada Lighthouse, the nearest point of the Canary Islands to the African continent. Then visit the “Esparragal” bio farm and taste their olive oil, tomatoes and other naturally-grown products. You’ll also learn about the life and traditions of the Canarian people living in the countryside.  You will visit the scenic villages of Pajara and Betancuria, making a stop at one of the best goat farms and cheese shops on the island, and enjoy a tasting of their produce. For lunch, enjoy a meal of tapas in an authentic local restaurant (not included on the price). The last spot of the day is the famous cheese museum located in the village of Antigua. At the end of the day you’ll be dropped back to your hotel.

Fuerteventura South Full-Day Tour

2. Fuerteventura South Full-Day Tour

We will start the tour leaving from your hotel and heading towards the Sicasumbre astronomical viewpoint, an ideal place to observe the night sky and the stars. Here you can enjoy an astronomy session guided by an expert, who will explain the secrets and wonders of the universe. We will continue the tour to the town of La Pared, a quiet and welcoming town where you can learn about its history and culture. You can also visit its black sand beaches, which give a magical and different touch to the landscape. You can walk along the shore, take photos and feel the sea breeze. Afterwards, we will move to the tourist area of Morrojable, one of the most popular and lively destinations on the island. Here you can explore its streets, its shops, its bars and its restaurants, where you can taste the local and international gastronomy. You will also be able to see the Jandía lighthouse, an emblematic symbol of the area. To end the tour, we will go to Sotavento beach, one of the most spectacular and famous on the island. Here you can admire its saltwater lagoon, which forms at low tide and offers perfect conditions for windsurfing. You will be able to see the professionals and amateurs who glide through the water with their sails, and if you dare, you can try this sport yourself. Alfredo arrived on time and was a lovely polite man who spoke English very well. We were the only 2 people on the tour. Water was supplied to drink. We visited the look out point first which was a short walk up a path to the summit. Then we went to rocky beach with a tunnel cave. Alfredo was informative about how the rocks and caves were formed. Then we went to Morro Jable and spent around 1.5 hours on our own shopping and having lunch. Finally we went to a lovely beach full of windsurfers. We walked on our own for around 1 hour taking in the views. Alfredo then dropped us back at our hotel. It was a lovely few hours out seeing the local area. Recommended and you are allowed to go at your own pace (not rushed like some tours are).

Alfredo, our guide, was extremely kind and helpful. He was precise in his explanations and information and was always able to keep our attention high, even telling us curiosities about the island that cannot be found in the institutional guides on the market. The excursion touches the most engaging and spectacular points of the south. It will be impossible for us to forget this day! Thanks Alfredo!

Lovely day. Great Guide and Bernadette as our driver. Packed day of sightseeing but not rushed at any stop and always ready to answer any questions. Would highly recommend this trip to see the hidden gems of the island, especially if you dont want to hire a car to explore!

The excursion with the guide and driver went very well! Their professionalism and commitment really helped make this experience memorable. And thank you also to the staff of the various places we visited for their welcome! I highly recommend this excursion.

Excellent day all round Great driver and guide Would highly recommend Beats car hire
