This was a lovely afternoon trip with some beautiful stops along the way for views and tastings. Learnt more about Epernay and Champagne visiting some small boutique cellars - not the big boys. Got a drive past Avenue de Champagne which looks really grand with all the big (and some small) houses. Had to go back the next morning on our drive to Dijon to be able to stop, walk and give it a proper look. Would be lovely to include this with a couple of stops on the tour

Fabulous experience in the Champagne region! Our guide had the none-too-easy task of catering to a group where some spoke French and some spoke English, and she did it effortlessly, making sure that everyone enjoyed their experience and learned lots. Our first stop, a family-run champagne house in Hautvilliers, was a stand-out moment of the day - the staff could not have been friendlier.
