  • Essaouira: 2-Hour Kite-Surfing Lesson

    1. Essaouira: 2-Hour Kite-Surfing Lesson

Your kite-surfing adventure starts at the local tour operator’s water sports store. This is where you will meet your guide for the day before being kitted out with all the necessary equipment you’ll need for your experience. You will then head onto the beach where the real fun begins. If you’re a beginner, your guide will begin by explaining to you the safety aspects, and helping you understand the wind. They will also teach you directly on the beach how to fly your kite. The next step is to go into the water to control your kite while your body drags through the water. Once you control this you will move to the next step, which will be getting on to the board to experience your first meters of kiting. It will then be time to work on your posture and stance to extend your ride on the board even more. If you’ve already got some kite surfing experience, the lesson will be tailored to you...

The experience was good! Everything was as described, the transportation was clean and the guide was charismatic! However the fact that there was only one guide that had to translate the same thing into 3 different languages (English, Spanish, French as not everyone spoke English) was a bit of a time waster. Essaouira is very nice and definitely worth the visit!

What people are saying about Essaouira Beach

Glad to have chosen this activity. Essaouira is a very pretty city and the Game of Thrones themed (improvised) guided tour was great. The instructor was very kind and patient and always with a smile. They don't steal the hours! they always give a little more. I was there with my 13 and 9 year old daughters who after 20 minutes were surfing like pro! As for our guide, the high standard car, impeccable driving (we slept most of the way back) And what about a guide who offers you the typical breakfast of the country? Just top notch. Well done for this very professional service. Thanks again to Marrakech surf

Hicham driver super nice comfortable transport 4 hours of time in Essaouira who gives time to hang around here and there. Fresh fish grilled on the barbecue to the left of the large square before the medina, you choose your fish (sole, sea bream, sardines, shrimps and you negotiate the prices.

Great experience for this horseback ride. The ranch is very beautiful and the horses very well maintained. The proposed route is magnificent and the guide was great (do not hesitate to communicate our expectations to the guide). We therefore recommend this center without any problem.

It's really worth it to visit Essaouira. Beautiful little streets and much more relaxed than Marrakesh. Delicious seafood places. We were transported in a van, it had air conditioning and the driver drove totally safe. He was on time at the meeting spot close to our stay.

Everyone at explora was so hospitable! I learned so much from my surf instructor and had a fun day hanging in essaouira with the locals. Highly recommend!
