Full description
Discover Gran Canaria on a 7-hour guided bus tour through the great green heart of Gran Canaria. See why this island is sometimes called a 'miniature continent' because of the huge contrasts in habitats and landscapes. The northern middle area will amaze you with its green meadows, farming areas, forests, natural parks, mountains, impressive viewpoints, and hidden villages. Firstly, visit Telde, the 2nd most populous city on the island. It's modern but full of interesting history as it was the ancient capital. Learn about the history of its Church and about its past and present. Then, discover the charming old town of Arucas and its magnificent modernist Church of San Juan Bautista built with volcanic black stone. After that, explore Firgas, known as "the Atlantic balcony" for its fantastic panoramic views. Find out why it is also called "the water village", for its exceptional waterfall fountain in the middle of the old town Next, arrive in the mountain area to make a stop at a restaurant in the Valleseco surroundings for lunch (optional and not included in the price of the tour). Continue through protected natural areas and mountains with stops at Mirador de la Cruz de Tejeda, which has beautiful views of Roque Nublo and El Teide. Finally, see the almond trees growing area of Ayacata, San Bartolomé, with fantastic views of the Santa Lucia Valley and the Caldera de Tirajana, and end the tour with an impressive panoramic route through the Fataga Valley Canyon.

Good. Would have wanted to spend more time in a couple of places like Arucas and would have like a proper walk/hike in the mountains. We didn't find the 1st stop that interesting and it can be missed. Lunch was good value but it was a long stop. It was a long drive in the mountains and a bit scary at times as some road were very narrow for 2 vehicles especially if one involves a bus, but the sceneries were beautiful. Good overall experience of Gran Canaria and I would recommend it.

1st stop (Telde) less good, but then a good increase, Frigas very nice. Then the landscape, just breathtaking. The time was short for the food, the quality was decent (for the bus stop), but we left out the wine from the package price (it wasn't drinkable). Even ordered wine was okay. The driver had "his hands full" (with the constant hairpin bends), but mastered it excellently.

Beautiful tour through the green heart of Gran Canaria. We saw beautiful places and a great diversity of landscapes with impressive views. We also went quite high into the mountains by bus. The restaurant where we had lunch was the only thing that didn't make us happy. If we knew that we would have brought our own lunch.
