Sunset Tours

After being collected from your accommodation, begin your sunset tour of about 2.5 hours. It will begin with you boarding your classic Volkswagen "camper van" with your soulmate, your friends or your family. Expect good music playlists, good company and all-around good vibes on your journey to the sunset. The first stop will be in Ferragudo, for a tour in this beatuful town. After arriving at the ocean near Farol da Ponta do Altar, you will be able to relax, sit back, drink a glass of good Portuguese wine, eat local snacks, and capture the beauty of the scenery. Listen to the waves and birds, whilst feeling the sun and the wind on your skin. Rejoice with your companions and enjoy this breathtaking yet simple pleasure in life. Additional music and photography for groups can even be hired before the trip.

From the pier of São Francisco in Portimão, you will board a boat. After a warm welcome, the safety procedures will be explained. Then, the journey towards the famous Benagil Cave will start. Along the way, admire other beautiful caves along the coast and hear old stories about them from your guide. If you're lucky, you will be able to see dolphins. All the boats are equipped with radios that will be tuned in to the same channel as the dolphin watching boats. If dolphins are spotted, which is very frequent on the Algarvian coast, and they are within 2 nautical miles, you will have the opportunity to see them. After stopping at the Benagil Cave to take pictures, the boat will continue to the breathtaking Ria de Alvor Nature Reserve. The marshland of the Alvor estuary is one of the finest places on the Algarve for birdwatching, so it's likely you'll spot pink flamingos and many other bird species. On the way back to Portimão, admire the impressive Praia do Alvor, one of the largest sandy beaches of the Algarve.
