You will begin your guided Fes tour as you are picked up from your accommodation. From here you will begin driving towards the captivating sites and old monuments of this ancient city. Your professional guide will begin by taking you to the ancient core of Fes, the old Medina. Here you can wander through the old narrow streets which are lined with small traditional shops selling the most mesmerizing handicrafts and Moroccan handmade items. You will walk through the alluring charm of the Medina, being able to admire its colorful streets and rich tapestry of life. You will soon find yourself at the largest and oldest tannery in Africa, the impressive “Chouara Tannery”, where real leather is being naturally shaped and colored. You will then continue your tour to the ancient schools of Fes. Founded in 859 A.D. by Fatima Al-Fihri, the school is an incredible example of spectacular Arab architecture. You will then visit some old Quranic Schools such as “Medersa Bouanania" and “Medersa Al-Attarine”, which was created by Sultan Uthman II Abu Said. Following this, you will visit the magnificent “Zaouia Moulay Idriss II", the spectacular and sacred shrine of the founder of the Fes Medina. Next, you will move to the Nejjarine Museum of wooden arts and crafts, where you can enjoy seeing decorated tiles, musical instruments, and intricately carved cedar eaves overhead. After a break for lunch, you will leave the ancient part of the old city to begin discovering some other magical wonders. You will visit the marvelous Royal Palace, which contains the tremendous Seven Gates and was perfectly made with the most captivating copper. Moving on, you will travel to the old Jewish Quarter “Mellah” and the Jnane Sabil Gardens. Here you can get some fresh air and admire the beautiful centered Moroccan fountains. Your guided tour will later end after you visit the northern and southern protective towers of Fes, allowing you to achieve the most fascinating panoramic views over the entire Medina.

Start your day heading out to explore the Middle Atlas. First stop is Imouzzer, a small village known for their apple festival. Stop at Dait Aoua, a famous lake in the region. Admire the beauty of the surrounding oak trees and cedar.  Ifrane is a small unique city established by the French in 1930 — visit the various highlights of this community. Gaze upon the Lion Stone in seasonal conditions: glistening with snow by winter, and baking in summer. Enjoy some free time to have a delicious lunch. Track down some barbary apes (Barbarian Monkeys), and after lunch you will head to the cedar forest. The thermal village of Moulay Yacoub gets its name from Abou Yacoub Al Achkat Bahlouli, a man famous in the region for his kindness. Located 21 kilometers (13 miles) northwest of Fes, it boasts international fame for its sulfur-rich spa waters, which are pumped from 1,500 meters (4,921 feet) below the ground and reach temperatures up to 54ºC (129ºF). Spend half a day relaxing at this thermal complex. Begin the trip with pickup at your hotel or riad in Fes, then drive to the thermal complex. Get picked up from your hotel or riad at 10 AM in a comfortable, air-conditioned car. Drive through Ain Lah, Zagotta, the attractive Dam Achahad, and Rif mountains. Learn about the history and culture of the Romans by exploring the ruins of the Arch of Caracalla, Basilica, and the Capitoline Temple. Spend some free time to stroll around on your own and capture more amazing photos. Hop back into the car, and drive towards your next stop, the holy Islamic town in Moulay-Idriss. Find out how this settlement was built by Moulay Idriss I. Admire the panoramic views, elongated squares, and the green-tiled pyramids of the Zaouia as you stroll through a labyrinth of clean alleyways. Next, continue on to Meknes where you will stop for lunch in a local restaurant. After you've eaten, start your tour of Meknes. See the ancient city walls and monumental gates which date back to the 17th-century. Admire the Royal Palace, Berdaïne Bab, and Bab Khemis. Then head over to the Africa Bab Mansour and El Heri es-Souan, huge granaries and stables built by Moulay Ismail's soldiers. Make a stop in the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, which for a long time was the only mosque which non-Muslims were allowed to visit in Morocco. Visit the Place-El-Hedim monument before making your return trip back to Fez where you will be dropped off back at your accommodation.

Travel through the holy city of Moulay Idriss, perched dramatically against the slopes of Mount Zerhon, and enjoy Morocco's dramatic landscape. Finally, you'll discover Morocco's history and culture during a sightseeing tour of Meknes, before being returned back to your starting point in Fez at the conclusion of your experience.
