  • London: Historical Pub Walking Tour

    1. London: Historical Pub Walking Tour

Enjoy an afternoon stroll through London's liquid history, pausing to quench your thirst in 4 of the city's most historic pubs. This 3-hour tour of some of the city’s finest alehouses follows in the footsteps of legendary city chroniclers, such as Charles Dickens. You will take a gentle 2 mile walk through some of London’s ancient streets, departing from St Paul's underground station and strolling along the "street of shame". Throughout the tour, enjoy fine views, quirky history, and a drink or two along the way. Stop at no less than 4 different pubs to quench your thirst, with visits to taverns that date back as far as 1549. The small group provides a more personal touch and local feel, and the trip will finish close to the Strand and Covent Garden, where you will be a short walk from the theaters, shops, and restaurants of London’s West End. Not to mention even more historic pubs if ...

A great way to learn about London's history from a knowledgable and engaging local. The pubs were great, we enjoyed our tour group very much and Mark (our guide) was top notch. Even though this is technically a pub tour, you get a lot of additional information about local landmarks and the history behind them. This was the first activity we did upon arriving in London and it helped set context for the rest of our visit (and not just regarding where the coolest pubs are :-). I highly recommend this tour!

  • Hidden London Walking Tour

    3. Hidden London Walking Tour

The tour begins outside one of central London's quietest underground stations, Temple. From here your guide will take you along side streets far away from the tourist trail and point out curious sights, including an old Cabman's shelter, built for taxi drivers at a time when they needed shelter from the rain, a so-called Roman Bath (which has a questionable past) and on to one of London's oxblood red Ghost stations, Aldwych.  In a tour full of weird and wonderful tales of tradition, folklore and ceremony, you'll stand beside one of London's lost rivers, head over to the City's most romantic church, soak up the atmosphere of an area once used by the legendary Knights Templar, then finish the walk off by going in search of the most notorious barber of them all, Sweeney Todd!

A really interesting and fun walking tour. Mum and two teenagers, one boy, one girl. We all enjoyed this which doesn’t happen too often. Matt, the tour guide was engaging and interesting. Would recommend this tour and intend to go on others from this team on our next visit.

That was to celebrate my son's 12th birthday. We enjoyed exploring London. Cruise on Thames with fantastic commentary of captains. Good facilities, nice and clean. The only thing, we had not enough time to finish all activities in on day. Bus stop running at about 5pm, not enough for us but i am planing to take another tour soon. Is worth of money. Thank you to all nice tootbus and city cruise staff. Very up lifting after spending time in lockdowns. Thank you, my son really enjoyed it.

Very nice tour and very clear also they are helpful when you need. But it should tell on the bus stop the time table to know how long we will wait for the next one.

such an interesting tour with a great guide. Mark was engaging and fun. Highly recommended.

It was great, easy, informative and easy to find them.
