Once you become familiar with your surroundings, it was easy to connect the video with each room. For me and my husband, we appreciated the video guide. It had the perfect amount of information without going over board. Due to the rainy weather, the tower was unaccessible so be aware of that. Other than that, it was absolutely beautiful. The video did a great job showing what the rooms would have looked like during the Medici reign. FYI: if you forgot your earphones no need to worry as they will provide you with disposable ones.

We included the tower which I say is a must do. But be prepared bec it’s 418 steps to top and it was hard. The video guide is confusing because the letters on the screen don’t correspond to a thing on the tour so figuring out what room you were in was hard each time we moved. The map on the guide is just not the best. Even the operators in each room didn’t know what letter we should pick. The doors outside each room could easily have a sign with the letter that matched the guide and that would solve everything. It did not.

Visit with a very complete audio guide. Although you have to identify the room first and then search for it on the tablet I am glad I booked the audio guide as without a reservation they were not left in any language. I didn't have to wait for anything, despite being August 17th. I recommend it without a doubt.
