take your time. wear REALLY comfy shoes. The art and the history and beauty simply of the gallery itself and of Florence out the windows, is breathtaking. It is easy to get too worn out to actually immerse yourself in your surroundings though. Book a foot massage somewhere after and enjoy some chianti!

the line you are skipping is the one to purchase tickets not the security line, but that line moves quickly and it’s very worth it to not spend extra time in the long ticket line. guide gave us informative sheeets and explained the best way to view the museum. will purchase in future

Quick and easy process to collect tickets, went straight through to entrance. Bit of a walk then to actually enter the gallery, up quite a few steps (but there is a lift). Exhibition starts on the top floor. Well worth it though as the gallery itself is beautiful and then of course is the artwork itself. Good views from the cafe on the roof but get there early as the queue can get quite long.
