9. From Sinj: 1-Hour Private Scenic Flight over Imotski's Lakes

Discover Sinj from the sky on an exciting private flight over the region. Enjoy verdant landscapes along the way and panoramic views of lakes, rivers, and coastline. Enjoy time to walk around and visit ancient fortresses. This route begins in the field of Sinj, a town in the Dalmatian hinterlands, the area known as Cetinska Krajina. This is an area that attracts more visitors each year, primarily thanks to the traditional Tilters Tournament of Sinj (Sinjska Alka). The flight starts over Sinj and continues along the Cetina River. The source of the river is a karst spring. Cetina has its source in the northwestern slopes of Dinara, in a small village called Cetina. The river is mostly calm with stunning landscapes. Next fly over the town of Trilj. This area also has become increasingly popular with tourists. It offers outdoor activities like Cetina River fishing, canoeing, rafting, horseback riding, cycling, and hiking. Afterward, the plane turns to Imotski, flying over the karstic landscapes that in a few minutes turn into a fertile valley bordered by the rocky plateaus. Imotski is a town situated on the northern side of Biokovo massif in Dalmatia hinterlands. It is a nice little town to visit. There are two lakes near Imotski – the Blue Lake and Red Lake, each one named for the color of the landscape around its borders. After the flight over the lakes, the route takes you to the town of Omiš. Omiš is situated at the Canyon of Cetina River. Omiš is widely known for its glorious pirate history and serves as a reminder of the times when pirates used to control Omiš. The main landmark remaining from the pirates stands proudly over the town – the fortress of Mirabela. Pirates of Omiš used the fortress as a lookout so that merchant ships couldn’t stay unnoticed when sailing along the coastline. The flight continues along the coastline towards the Split suburbs. The west coast of Split is the extension of Split’s Riva to the west. Enjoy a magnificent view of Split and luxury yachts. Next on the route is the Klis fortress, which served as a major source of defense in Dalmatia, especially in the middle ages. The fortress is one of the most outstanding fortresses in Croatia and it is beautifully preserved. If you have time, you can easily spend a few hours walking around. Finally, return to the town of Sinj. You will probably see Fortress of Sinj which offers one of the nicest views in the area. You can see all of the Cetina River and the surrounding villages. If you are interested in visiting the Dalmatian hinterlands this is the best way to give you a preview of what you can expect.

Beautiful places. Small group. Verry funny guide. He gave us a lot of information about the local history. We had the tour with lunch included. So we had the Skradin risotto in Skradin and traditional bbq. Everyting was verry good. Only one mention: we felt that the time for the Klis Fortress was a little to short but we managed to see everything. Overall an amazing experience!

Stella Croatia is a very beautiful place. We got a great and informative tour and at the end you have the opportunity to test and try the products. We were warmly welcomed and can highly recommend the visit.
