Enjoy an affordable and flexible transfer to Pico do Arieiro to enjoy a sunrise hike all the way to Pico Ruivo. Trek up to the highest and second-highest mountains on Madeira at your own pace and enjoy pickup and drop-off at your accommodation.

Instructions will be given by the host, regarding schedules and where you will pass by. The day before the hike, you will receive the exact pickup time and a weather forecast, in order for you to be as prepared as you can be!

Get picked up at your accommodation in Funchal and dropped off at the entrance to Pico do Arieiro to begin your self-guided hike. Experience the most amazing natural scenery as you walk from mountain to mountain on the #1 hiking trail on Madeira Island.

Once you're finished exploring, the end of the hike and pick-up location is at Achada do Teixeira, in the parking lot area.

On the way back to your accommodation, pass through the city of Santana for close-up views of the traditional triangular homes and you will have a tasting and the end of the hike, produced by locals.

A wonderful tour. Transport to Pico and back worked great. The driver was also an enthusiastic guide and showed and explained a lot along the way (on the way back a detour to Santana). Sunrise - fantastic. hike as well. However, many people on the way on the narrow path. And the ascent from the valley to Pico Ruivo was a heated battle. But the landscape is unique.

The walk is very beautiful! Cool views and quite spicy with the warm sun on your head. We wanted to do the sunrise tour, but after booking at 5:00 it turns out that it is already full. You will hear this via email. Would be better if you can't book the sunrise anymore. Good pick up and drop off service. Also direct contact with the service via whatsapp if you have already finished the walk and where the driver is.

What an experience! Logan and Felipe were both amazing and made sure we had all the info we needed for the hike! Felipe is a very careful driver who knows a lot about the island and he made sure he shared his knowledge with us along the route. The pick up was on time, he even arrived 10 minutes earlier, which gave us plenty of time to arrive to the top on time and had a little briefing before the sunrise and the hike. Honestly, cannot express enough my gratitude for this trip and experience. Highly recommended!
