Enjoy an affordable and flexible transfer to Pico do Arieiro to enjoy the famous hike all the way to Pico Ruivo. Trek up to the highest and second-highest mountains on Madeira at your own pace and enjoy pickup and drop-off at your accommodation.

Instructions will be given by the host, regarding schedules and where you will pass by. The day before the hike, you will receive the exact pickup time and a weather forecast, in order for you to be as prepared as you can be.

Get picked up at your accommodation in Funchal and dropped off at the entrance to Pico do Arieiro to begin your self-guided hike. Experience the most amazing natural scenery as you walk from mountain to mountain on the #1 hiking trail on Madeira Island.

Once you're finished exploring, the end of the hike and pick-up location is at Achada do Teixeira, in the parking lot area.

On the way back to your accommodation, pass through the city of Santana for close-up views of the traditional triangular homes and you will have a tasting and the end of the hike, produced by locals.

The guide Filipe was outstanding, such a nice and warm guide. The walk itself is amazing, second only to Machu Picchu. Make sure you have the correct footwear, we were lucky as it was sunshine all day, but any drop of rain and I would have struggled with the trainers that I was wearing. No need to pay extra for a guided tour, there is only one way around the path. Communication for the trip was great and really good value, look no further.

Filippe was a great driver. We learned a lot, he brought us safely and extremely friendly to the starting point. With fantastic weather we did this unforgettable tour and enjoyed fantastic views. Our driver Filippe picked us up at the destination very punctually and brought us back just as friendly as in the morning. We immediately booked the next Tozr with him, which was a real highlight again.

Well organized trip. All information provided the day before. The driver-guide is punctual, very positive, speaks excellent English, a wonderful storyteller. On the spot, he explained everything again and showed. The route is developed remarkably - this is the most optimal option for climbing to Peak Ruiva. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend the company "Do it Madeira"!
