Full description
Indulge in the simple delights of Madeira cuisine at a restaurant specially chosen for this 2.5-hour evening activity. Experience traditional espetada, marinated beef cooked over the open fire on a fragrant laurel skewer, accompanied by milho frito (golden fried maize), and perhaps mouth-watering, homemade garlic bread. Combine these dishes with delicious wine and energetic entertainment by a local folklore group and you can be assured of a very enjoyable evening out. Folklore music is popular throughout Madeira and is typically performed using local musical instruments such as the machete, rajao, brinquinho, and cavaquinho. During the folklore show this music accompanies traditional dances, such as the Bailinho da Madeira.

Might not necessarily be, but the dinner and folkloric dances of the locals followed by polonaise with the guests were worth the trip. At the end of the show there was Viennese waltz and jazz. Inexpensive, with transport. But nevertheless: Tourist oriented. The people here live mainly from tourism; We should consider holiday guests in our reviews. The guests liked the event and the folklore etc. We all had our fun and that's important.

Entertainment, food and drink and the taxi service were all very good

We went to collect some guests from a hotel and they were not there, so had to go round the block three times, in the end they did not appear. This made us a bit late getting to the venue, but we got seats at the front. Wee got a bottle of red, a bottle of white and a large bottle of water between four of us. The food was good considering they had to serve a large number of guests, beef was so tasty, chips good and hot but didn't care much for the fried pallenta. the folk lore entertainment was good, but as no one introduced it we didn't know what the dances meant. There were some ladies who appeared on stage not really dressed for the occasion, who sang along with a male compare and then another male who was dressed in a suit and who had three young girls dancing behind him who sang. It was all very strange to us, but we like music so it was ok.

Great evening and dinner with folklore

It was very good evening, with transport to restaurant, very well organized, dinner tasted very good, folklore program was very interesting and active for us. We felt very good the whole evening, driver (guider) very friendly and funny, the group - not everyone - so everything was great, for us very good memories of this evening with a view of Funchal at night.
