Amazing ride up to the alps - you go at your own pace and there are many activities to do at the top with nice trails - then on the way down - get off at the next stop from the top Riffelberg and you can have a nice outdoor self serve lunch overlooking the matterhorn - afterward - hike down to Riffelalp - you will pass amazing glacier lakes and views - everyone was doing it and its easy downhill walk - then get back on the train and either go all the way down or get off at findelbach and hike the rest of the way down - the train is a great experience to do even if you dont do the hiking

Absolutely worth seeing !!! The price has it all - first the multi-storey car park, then the train to Zermatt - the first euros are already gone. Unfortunately there is no other way to get to Zermatt. We waited until the last moment whether we could afford the adventure with the Gornergradbahn - since that is also very expensive. In hindsight it was the best decision - breathtaking views of the Matterhorn and the glaciers make up for all the effort. We would do it again at any time - but next time we would arrive earlier so that we have a lot more time up there

Great way to experience the Alps and see the Matterhorn. You can take the round trip and/or so some hiking along the way. Very user friendly. Once at the last stop, you can enjoy the shops and food if desired.

Zermat is a very interesting place .Defenately worthy to go.It is possible to visit all the place in one day if we don’t have much time for staying in the hotels and enjoy long distance hiking.

Spectacular views. We treated as a hop in hop off service and walked down between a couple of stations. It was very steep for us as we don't normally hike.
