Private Half-Day Tour of the French Riviera in a Vintage Car

1. Private Half-Day Tour of the French Riviera in a Vintage Car

Spend half a day in the French Riviera on a tour completely based on your wishes on board the mythic French car: the Citroën Traction Avant. This car was the world's first front-wheel-drive steel monocoque production car and successfully pioneered front-wheel-drive on the European mass car market. It was built from 1934 to 1957. Among the numerous sites on the Riviera, select the ones you most desire to visit. You can stop in the famous cities and villages, or travel quietly along the magnificent Estérel coast road from Cannes to Fréjus. As this is a private tour for your single group, you are free to manage the time you want to spend at each site. If you love a particular site and decide to stay a bit more than initially planned instead visiting another one, no problem. Additionally, if you are not quite certain what you want to see, allow your local driver to help you decide what best fits the interests of your group. Some examples of tours (you can see on the picture-map): · Cannes (La Croisette) – Mougins (Old Village with artists) – Grasse (perfume factory) – Gourdon (Medieval village) · Cannes (La Croisette) – Estérel cost road until Fréjus (Harbor) · Grasse (center of old city and perfume factory) - Gourdon (Medieval village) – Gorges du Loup road – Tourrettes sur Loup (sweet factory) To communicate your desired itinerary, please provide a detailed description at the time of booking by leaving a note in the comments field during the checkout process. If you would like something more customized, don't hesitate to ask. You will receive a reply very quickly that will let you know if this is possible for the provided duration of time, or if you should extend your booking. What people are saying about Gourdon

As a solo female traveler - I wanted a private and high quality tour - this tour fit the bill. The Citroen was beautiful and got a lot of attention - it was fun to get waves and smiles from everyone we passed. Phillipe was very knowledgeable of the area and had a great itinerary. He communicated several times before the tour to make sure the time/itinerary was ok. I got the feeling he would be flexible with the itinerary/time which was good. Phillipe had arranged a tour for me at Fragronard Maisson in English. The tour was wonderful and I learnt a lot about perfume and got to see the production line in action. After the tour we took the mountain roads to Gourdon which was really pretty. In Gourdon - Phillipe gave me a tour of the medieval town and told me about the area and history. I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the tour and I’m so glad I did it. Phillipe was very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt right at home with him and enjoyed riding around in style. This is a must do tour!

Phillippe knew the area and geography extremely well. He explained everything to us and allowed us the decision on where we would go. He was extremely polite, sensitive in that he knows when to chat and when to stay quiet but above all, an extremely competent and safe driver. The car is a beautiful piece of engineering and is also a piece of art. It is comfortable and just a joy to sit and ride in.

We had an excellent trip with Phillippe in May 2022. The vintage car was beautiful, clean, and safe. Phillippe was a great guide and took us to a glass blowing factory in Biot and a medieval town in Tourettes on a 4 hour tour to and from Nice. Phillippe was prompt and responsive. Overall, we had a great trip with him and would recommend for anyone looking for a fun way to see the south of France.

Philippe, our guide, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the area. Also he had a passion for the beautiful vintage car we got to drive around in. His suggestions for stops were amazing, from a perfume factory to a medieval village. We had an unforgettable time!

Great way to get out of the cities and I to an amazing countryside. great guide and a fun car!
