Lisbon: 7 Hills Half-Day Electric Bike Tour

2. Lisbon: 7 Hills Half-Day Electric Bike Tour

Climb aboard an electric e-bike to make light work of the 7 hills of Lisbon. Considered by many to be too hard for cycling - thanks to its constant ascents and descents - you can contradict that theory, even reaching the highest points of the city. Departing from Rua Cais de Santarém, close to the harbor, head off to sites such as the famous flea market of Feira da Ladra, the monumental church of Panteão Nacional, and the Mannerist Monastery of São Vicente de Fora. Get panoramic views from the terrace of Chão do Loureiro, the Miradouro da Graça viewpoint, and the mirador of Monte Agudo in Penha de França. Your electric motor buzzing, pass the 15th-century Palácio Belmonte and the quaint neighborhood of Vila Berta. Chill out in the Campos Mártires da Pátria and the Jardim do Torel park. And see some of the city’s most iconic sights, including the Sé de Lisboa cathedral, and the Ascensor da Lavra funicular, one of the first vehicles to conquer Lisbon’s hills back in 1884.

Lisbon: From East to West Private Tour by Tukxi

3. Lisbon: From East to West Private Tour by Tukxi

Explore Lisbon from East to West in a Tukxi, a small vehicle that's a mix between a tuk tuk and a 3-wheeled scooter. This 3-hour private tour combines a visit to 3 historical neighborhoods with an exploration of Belem, one of the most popular districts in the city, making it the perfect way to get the most out of the city when you don’t have much time.   Your tour starts in the Old Town, where you’ll travel back in time and fall in love with the colorful neighborhoods of Alfama, Mouraria, and Graça. Stop along the way to discover all that Lisbon has to offer, which is made especially easy by the Tukxis.   Then, follow your guide over to the west of the city along the glittering river Tejo to arrive at Belem, where many of the great Portuguese explorers embarked on their voyages. Here, you can admire Belem Tower, the Jeronimos Monastery, and the Monument to the Discoveries, 3 of the most astonishing buildings in Portugal. If there’s time, end your tour with a visit to the world-famous Pasteis de Belem and try some of their delicious custard tarts.

Lisbon: Delicious Electric Bike Tour

4. Lisbon: Delicious Electric Bike Tour

This tour will focus on the most authentic neighborhoods, the perfect places to find traditional taverns and amazing restaurants. In Alfama (the oldest district in Lisbon), you’ll experience the real Lisbon with its charismatic (and intense) people, cats sleeping on windowsills, twisting streets and blind alleyways where the roofs almost touch each other. Going up the hill until Graça, you’ll find a breathtaking panoramic view at the famous Belvedere “Nossa Senhora do Monte”. After a moment of relaxation at the viewpoint, you'll start going down the hill to salute Mouraria, Lisbon’s most multi-ethnic neighborhood. Here you may find all types of restaurants because about a fifth of the population is from Asia, mainly from China, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. Now, the most important detail of this tour, the tasting experiences! You'll visit Lisbon’s greatest cafés and taverns, important landmarks of this city where you’ll enjoy some snacks and drinks. Get ready for delicious treats such as custard tarts, codfish cakes, bifana, ginja liquor, Portuguese Green Wine, and more!

What people are saying about Graça Historic District

Simon our guide was simple awesome! So was Alvaro who followed at the back and made sure we were safe. He even switched bikes with my son when he found out the bike wasn’t functioning so smoothly. Tips- do know different bikes cycle differently and road sharing with different vehicles can be challenging but with patience, some bravado and common sense, this is about the best way to visit hilly Lisbon esp the colorful Alfama area! Ask for Simon !

There were seven of us. Two seniors, four middle semesters and one chick. We needed 2 tuktuks. Both were there on time. In one sat Ingo and drove the older semester to their complete satisfaction and informed them (in German). In the second sat Penelope and also here only the best mark (in English)! We took the trip right on the first day to get an overview of the city. It was entertaining, fun and informative!

My husband and I did the 21/2 hour electric bike tour Friday morning and had wonderful guide called Yannick that was very informative and patient with us. He was great and showed us places we would of missed if we had not taken the tour. We had the best time.

Nice tour, good electric bikes. Guide told a lot, taking pictures on request was no problem. Pay close attention to safety.

Edwardo was a great tour guide and very friendly and helpful to my mum who wasn't confident on a bike at all.
