What people are saying about Great Barrier Reef

An absolutely memorable day for three novice snorkelers, including a young child and me (not a sea person, really out of my comfort zone…). However, sooo glad we did this. The boat, snorkel equipment and especially the crew were fabulous: super professional and friendly. We were also VERY lucky with the weather today, which ensured a smooth crossing and some excellent snorkeling, even at low tide. I think that some of the poor reviews on this site haven’t taken into account how much the weather can affect the whole experience. I’d really recommend paying the $40 for the hire of sun umbrella and two sun loungers, as you don’t quite realise how much sun exposure you’re getting until it’s too late…make sure you slap on that sunscreen and get shade where you can! On the day we saw a magnificent turtle (about three feet long) and some incredible coral. So grateful to have had these experiences. Thanks to the amazing Big Cat crew!

We had a great day out on Green Island. The semi submersible was fantastic, I was very hot and went up for the cooler breeze. But it’s well worth doing, saw heaps of fish and a reef shark, 2 in fact. The island is glorious, plenty of places to snorkel and chill. You can walk around the island too if you want. Lunch provided was lovely, plenty full and lots of choice. Well worth a visit

Very helpful and friendly staff, the cruise was clean and well maintained and the food was good...I highly recommed this to any traveller to Cairns who has interest to explore Coral world.

The tour was great and exciting but half-day is not enough for the first timers. I suggest to go for full day tour instead

Great travel time to/from the Island & snorkelling straight off the beach is perfect for families with young kids
