Bruges Guided Walking Tour: Stories, Mysteries and People

9. Bruges Guided Walking Tour: Stories, Mysteries and People

Ranked 5⭐ Star Bruges Walking Tour! Best Tour with a Local Guide 🎉 Welcome to the enchanting heart of Bruges, where the cobbled streets whisper tales of centuries past, and each cobblestone seems to have its own story to tell. I'm your trusty guide, your passport to the past, and your ticket to adventure in this charming medieval city. 🏰 Picture this: as we wander through the city centre, we'll journey through time, from the days when knights donned shiny armour to the modern era of delectable Belgian chocolates. It's like a time machine, but without the risk of accidentally changing history. Unless you really want to. But I don't recommend it. 🍫 Now, I know you're probably thinking, "Why Bruges? What's so special about this place?" Well, besides the fact that it's a Unesco World Heritage Site (which is basically the gold medal of cool places), Bruges boasts more chocolate shops than you can shake a cocoa bean at. And if that's not reason enough, let me tell you about the beer. Belgians take their beer seriously, and you should too. Trust me; it's a frothy adventure waiting to happen. 🏛️ But that's not all! We'll be rubbing elbows with towering cathedrals and cozy streets (try saying that after a few Belgian beers), all while taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of this living fairy tale. 🌊 And don't forget the canals! We've got more of those than Venice (well, almost), and they're the watery arteries that keep the city's charm flowing. We'll stroll along the water's edge, discovering why Bruges is sometimes called the "Venice of the North" (without the gondolas, but with lots more waffles). 🍻 So, are you ready to embark on a journey that's part history, part chocolate, and all fun? Grab your comfy shoes, your sense of wonder, and maybe an umbrella (because you never know when those Belgian skies will decide to sprinkle a little magic). Let's dive into the whimsical world of Bruges together, one Belgian chocolate at a time!

What people are saying about Gruuthusemuseum

My husband and I enjoyed this tour. It was a great way to learn about Bruges, see most of the major landmarks, and learn history. I would recommend to anyone coming to Bruges! The boat tour was nice as well, however it unfortunately was raining for the whole trip.. it was still nice and a beautiful way to see the city. The guide had umbrellas which helped!

Good information about the place and its attractions. Gives local stories/history about them as well. Solid choice for the money. Props to the women (Forgot her name; she's I think half Romanian & Chinese) who came on short notice because the original done a no show.

Just entertained us for 2 hours straight. Very entertaining and amusing. Highly recommended.
