My mom and I loved everything about our day in Versailles! It was easy to meet the group, hop on the train and pick up our bikes. Before heading to the gardens, we had time to browse a local food market and pick up fix-ins for a picnic, which was lots of fun! We then spent the rest of the morning and afternoon exploring the sprawling landscape of Versailles by bike (we saw so much and were able to cover a lot more ground than had we traveled by foot!), pausing along the way to learn about the history of this landmark from our informative guide*. We certainly earned our picnic, which was delightful. At the end of the cycling portion of the day, we skipped the line and were able to experience the rest of the Versailles palace at our own pace. Great value! *I cannot remember our guide's name, but he is English, running the 2019 NYC marathon, and works as a translator for business professionals. Hopefully that will identify him and earn him credit for a wonderful experience!
Don’t miss this tour! Stu & Niki go above and beyond to make sure their tour guests have all their expectations met! With all the difficulties and changes associated with traveling during COVID, they were so patient and helpful in answering our many questions long before the trip even began. They were very responsive and made a number of accommodations from helping us with private transportation to offering to hold our luggage during our tour. Once we arrived in Paris the bike tour, visit to the market, picnic lunch on the Grand Canal and guided tour of Versailles exceed our expectations! Our tour guide Nichola, was simply amazing. So informative and funny all in one. I have traveled all over the world and this is not a tour you want to miss! If only Stu and Niki could operate all the tour companies in Paris! They know how to do it best!!!
Our family of four (kids aged 11 and 8) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our day trip to Versailles. The equipment provided (including helmets, required by French law) was in great shape, and our guide (Nick) was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable of Versailles, as well as an experience guide who was extremely patient with our kids (who wanted to ride alongside of him at the front of the pack). We would highly recommend Get Your Guide (Nick especially) as a fun way to tour a huge site such as Versaille.
A really great tour with the perfect guide. You feel how much NATASHA loves what she is doing and always be helpfully and answer all questions. Just don't forget a jacket (even in summer) as quite a big part of the tour is in the shadow of the trees in Versailles garden.
Herve was a great tour guide. He knew so much and his stories were fantastic. Very engaging
